About the congress

Ancestral wisdom and the science of mind, in dialogue.

The Chair of Contemplative Sciences and Mindfulness is a joint initiative of the University of Zaragoza and the World Happiness Foundation, created on 18 December 2025. It explores contemplative traditions through an interdisciplinary lens, integrating ancestral wisdom with contemporary scientific research on consciousness, mind and well-being.

Director: Javier García Campayo, Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Zaragoza and director of the Master's in Mindfulness.
