Terms of use

These terms govern your use of worldhappiness.foundation, its member portal, and paid offerings. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site.

Site use

You may read, share, and link to public content freely. You agree not to attempt to disrupt the service, scrape at unreasonable rates, or bypass access controls. We may rate-limit or block requests that threaten availability for others.

Member accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe.
• You agree that the profile information you post publicly (via the Directory opt-in) is content you are entitled to share.
• Admins may remove profiles or content that misrepresents identity, harasses others, or violates these terms.
• You may download or delete your account at any time from the portal (see the Privacy notice for what "delete" does with financial records).

Purchases

Memberships, event tickets, and Academy programs are sold through Stripe on our behalf. By purchasing you authorize the charge shown at checkout and agree to our refund policy — see /legal/refunds.

Recurring memberships renew automatically until you cancel from the portal or by writing to hello@worldhappiness.foundation. Cancellation prevents future charges; access to the cancelled product ends per the refund policy.

AI companion — no professional advice

The AI companion ("Ask the Foundation", "Explain this passage") generates summaries of Foundation publications. Its answers are informational and are not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or professional advice. It can make mistakes. Always verify with a qualified professional before acting on anything it suggests, and read the linked source materials for context.

Intellectual property

Site content (essays, images, books, program materials) is owned by the World Happiness Foundation or its contributors and is licensed for personal reading and sharing with attribution. Commercial reuse requires written permission (hello@worldhappiness.foundation). WHF marks — including "World Happiness Foundation", "World Happiness Fest", "World Happiness Academy", and "Happytalism" — are used with permission of their owners.

Limits

The site is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site or its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.
