For over a decade, I’ve been on the path of personal and spiritual development. I read the books, joined the courses, listened to the meditations. But I can tell you with honesty—it wasn’t until I started listening to my soul callings and acting on them that everything changed.

So let me share my story along with 5 powerful steps to start living a Soul·Full life, one rooted in consciousness, truth, purpose, and peace.

How It All Began: From Searching to Surrender

I was no stranger to self-growth. My mother meditated since I was very little, and I learned about the law of attraction when I was just around 8. I grew up with all this information and practices.

I started diving deeper into personal growth around 2013, reading books, subscribing to newsletters, watching videos, and doing my best to apply everything I was learning. But I believe my first real approach to living from the soul began during my exchange program in France. While I was officially there to study, I found myself more drawn to the adventure of traveling. I stayed with locals, embraced spontaneous experiences, and discovered how much I loved learning through real-life connection. That’s when a dream started forming inside me—one day, I would travel the world on a zero-budget journey, staying with people and sharing what I’ve learned. The calling was loud, but so were the excuses:

“I can’t leave now, I’m in a relationship.”

“I don’t have the money.”

“This job is too important.”

I kept putting it off. Yet my Soul was always bringing the dream back in.

Six years after my exchange in France, while working at a school leading a beautiful educational project, a new calling came through—quiet at first, but persistent: “Go travel by yourself.” Alongside it, a name kept echoing in my mind:

THAILAND.

I didn’t know why. I had never seriously considered going there before. Yes, I was drawn to Buddhism, but this was different. The clarity of the message was striking. It wasn’t just a thought—it was a soul whisper I couldn’t ignore.

Thailand was wonderful. And one moment I still remember as if it was yesterday:  I was sitting at the edge of the peaceful lake in Khao Sok. The stillness of the water mirrored something in me—clarity, calm, deep presence. And then, a message came through clearer than ever before. Not in words I had to question, but in a truth I could feel in every cell: “This is what you should be doing.” Traveling, connecting, learning, and sharing from the heart. That moment planted something I couldn’t unhear.

Still, when I returned to Mexico, I did what many of us do—I tried to go back to “normal.” I returned to the school, convinced I’d finish the project I had started. But when you’ve heard the soul speak, life doesn’t let you stay where you don’t belong.

In an meeting, where I was intending to ask for a raise, the principal informed me they were cutting my hours and salary in half. It felt like a shock, but also like divine orchestration. I knew immediately: This is the push. I looked him in the eye and said, “If that’s the case, I quit.” I walked away with no backup plan—just trust. And within days, the next soul whisper arrived:

HAWAII.

I didn’t fully understand why, but it rang as clearly as Thailand had before. So I followed the calling to Hawaii—with no real plan and just $500 in my bank account.
The cheapest hostel bed was $50 a night, and even doing the math made it clear I could only survive for about 10 days. But something in me said, “Trust.” And so I did.

I let go of fear and surrendered to the unknown. Within days, I found a place where I could exchange work for accommodation and food. Not only did it cover my needs, it became a sanctuary. I spent three beautiful months there, immersed in nature, building, learning, and connecting. Every single day reaffirmed what I already knew deep inside: when you follow your soul, life supports you.

And from Hawaii came the most magical, serendipitous journey:

ICELAND.

I had no set itinerary—just a flight, one week campervan with a friend, and a full heart. What unfolded was 31 days of wonder. People opened their homes to me without hesitation. I hiked glaciers, bathed in hot springs, and made new friends from many different countries. I camped under the stars, cooked by fire, started a hike at 9 p.m. and witnessed the midnight sun light up the Icelandic sky, watching the sunset slowly melt into dawn around 3 a.m.

And even people say don’t trust strangers,  Iceland taught me that when you live from trust, and listen to your intuition more than old societal narratives, life becomes a playground of miracles.

After that, I returned to Mexico—grateful, but admittedly a little restless. For the first time in a while, I had no trip planned. No adventure ahead. And although I knew integration was part of the journey, I started to feel impatient, even a bit lost.

That, of course, was also part of the universe’s plan.

One day, almost out of the blue, an old friend and former collaborator invited me to a well-being congress in Mexico. I said yes, not knowing I would find there. There I first heard about the World Happiness Foundation and in the moment Luis Gallardo (the founder) spoke about expanding collective happiness—from the personal to the systemic—I felt chills. His message was almost identical to mine. Even the colors of the Foundation were nearly the same as the ones I had chosen for Desparadigmas (my business in Mexico).

It felt so aligned. And a couple weeks later Luis and Lili announced in the World Happiness Foundation Community a 10-day expedition to:

Nicoya, COSTA RICA.

(Look at the expedition here)

Not only it wasn’t on my bucket list, but was definitely out of my budget.

Yet the calling was undeniable—even louder than the ones before. By that time, I had learned to recognize those callings… and more importantly, to follow them.

So I jumped. I booked the trip, trusted the process, and showed up. And from the very first day, I knew I had made the right decision.

In those 10 days, I found more than a retreat—I found soul family, mentors, and a sense of purpose that reached deeper than anything before. I received messages that cracked me open, nudged me forward, and confirmed that I was exactly where I needed to be.

And from that one “yes,” everything began to flow.

Fast forward to now: two years, 15 countries, and more than 30 conferences later, I stand here walking the path I once only dreamed of. Working alongside the Foundation, co-creating meaningful change, and sharing the Soul·Full Method with a global community. It’s been an unfolding of grace, one step at a time—and it all started with choosing to listen and acting on those callings.

What Does It Mean to Live From the Soul?

It means listening to your inner truth—and acting on it.

It means no longer following life as you’re “supposed to” and instead living as you are called to.

It’s not about perfection. It’s not about having it all figured out. It’s about showing up with honesty, feeling deeply, and trusting the path as it reveals itself.

And yes, it’s also about creating. Because the life you dream of is not just for a lucky few.

It’s for you too.

5 Steps to Start Living From the Soul

  1. Tune In: Listen Within

We’re surrounded by so much noise that our inner voice gets lost. And spoiler alert you can’t follow your soul if you don’t even hear it.

How to tune in and start listening?

1.1 Start meditating—even 5 minutes a day makes a difference.

Here some meditations and from the Soul•Full collection to start practicing

1.2 Ask your Soul, then pause and perceive the answers.

Your soul is always communicating with you, but we often move too fast, think too loud, or seek answers from everywhere except within.

Start small. Start with curiosity. Start with questions.

  •  “Which direction should I take today?”
  • “What do I need most right now?”
  •  “Who should I reach out to?”
  •  “Is this choice expanding or constricting me?”
  •  “What would love choose in this moment?”

Then pause. Not to overthink, but to feel. Your soul doesn’t scream, it whispers. The answer may come as a gentle pull in your body, a sense of lightness, a word that repeats in your mind, or a sudden clarity that wasn’t there before.

The more you listen, the clearer it gets.

Let it be a game at first—play with your intuition. Ask your soul about simple, everyday things:

  • What to eat.
  • Which road to take.
  • What book to pick up.
  • Whether to say yes or no to a plan.

The point isn’t to always get the “right” answer—it’s to strengthen the channel between you and your soul. The more you ask, listen, and act… the more trust you build. And soon, you’ll be guided not just in the small, but in the big.

1.3 Follow the Small Nudges

Start with small actions:

  • Take a new path home.
  • Message that person you keep thinking about.
  • Explore a topic that’s been calling you.

Your soul speaks through desire, curiosity, and intuition.

  1. Act With Courage (Even When It’s Scary)

Once you hear the call… act on it.

It doesn’t mean quitting your job when you feel the calling. It means preparing:

  • Maybe make a list of dream projects or careers.
  • Start learning, applying, and showing up for what matters.

Every step aligned with your soul builds trust. And the universe responds.

  1. Define What You Want. Design Your Dream Life.

Once you begin tuning in and receiving soul callings, the next step is crucial: set clear intentions.

So many people move through life reacting, rarely pausing to ask the most fundamental question:

“What do I truly want?”

Not what your family expects. Not what society celebrates. Not what your fears are trying to avoid.

But what your soul deeply desires.

This question can feel simple, but it requires honesty, stillness, and courage.

When you receive a soul nudge, a feeling, a sign, a knowing, you need to give it form. Intention is how the soul communicates with the universe. It’s how you say: “I’m listening, and I’m ready.”

Take time to define your dream life:

  • How do you want to feel each day?
  • What kind of work lights you up?
  • What relationships nourish you?
  • What environments make you feel most alive?
  • What contribution do you long to make?

Put it into words. Write it down. Speak it aloud. Create a ritual around it if you’d like.

But be clear.

Intentions are the architecture of the soul. They shape your energy, your focus, and your frequency.

And remember: you’re not just designing a life that looks good.

You’re designing a life that feels true.

  1. Surrender and Trust

Sometimes, you’ll be guided toward leaps that don’t make sense.

Do them anyway, with love, not fear.

  • Let go of controlling the outcome

The universe knows. And when you surrender, the path reveals itself.

Let joy be part of the path.

Celebrate your courage.

Welcome the unknown.
