Ecosystems of Happiness

Empowering communities to cultivate happiness — for all.

What if happiness was not just a nice idea, but the foundation of sustainable success? As the world navigates growing social, economic and environmental challenges, prioritising happiness and well-being is no longer a luxury — it is a necessity.

Choose your ecosystem

Five living systems. One movement.

Each ecosystem has its own rhythm — but they share the same north star: 10 billion free, conscious and happy people by 2050.

Schools of Happiness

Classrooms where students learn to know themselves, regulate emotions and live with purpose — supported by teachers, counsellors and school leaders trained in positive education.

Enterprises of Happiness

Cultures of flourishing where employees feel safe, valued and supported — powered by Chief Well-Being Officer certification and Happytalism strategy work.

Cities of Happiness

Municipalities designing Beyond-GDP measurement, Agora networks and public-policy pilots that put subjective well-being at the centre of local governance.

Hospitals of Happiness

Well-being-centred hospitals: programs for clinicians, patient families and administrators — reducing burnout, restoring meaning and building healing environments.

Hotels of Happiness

Hospitality reimagined around genuine flourishing — for guests, staff and the wider community — with well-being embedded into design, service and operations.

The breakdown

The world we inherited.

+970 million

people suffer from mental-health disorders.

Suicide

is the second leading cause of death among youth.

1/3 of the forests

have been lost since 1750.

Over 8 million tons

of plastic enter the oceans every year.

The breakthrough

The world we can co-create.

Focusing on happiness

increases well-being and lowers turnover rates.

4–10 more years

of life can come from increased happiness and life satisfaction.

Less consumption

happens where people feel more connected.

Sustainable practices

lead to long-term economic and social benefits.

What an Ecosystem of Happiness looks like

People. Systems. Planet.

People

  • Feel safe, valued and supported in all aspects of life.
  • Have opportunities to grow and thrive.
  • Connect and belong.
  • Cultivate spiritual growth and personal reflection.

Systems

  • Promote sustainable practices, social responsibility and people's well-being.
  • Build inclusive, respectful and collaborative cultures.
  • Foster leadership based on consciousness and compassion.

Planet

  • Is protected and respected through sustainable practices.
  • Maintained with clean air, water and green spaces, supporting biodiversity.
  • Nurtured by local solutions that promote a connection with nature.

Purpose-driven, transparent and ethical leadership.

The journey together

Four stages, co-designed with your community.

  1. 01 · Diagnosis

    Ecosystems of Happiness Assessment (PHA)

Tailored to your type of ecosystem — evaluation of the environment, happiness and well-being, plus focus groups to gather key information.

  2. 02 · Strategic plan

    Co-design the map

With local leaders and stakeholders we co-design a customised program with self-sustainable strategies: diagnostic report, customised program, initiatives, training.

  3. 03 · Implementation

    Roll out with the community

Ongoing training and advice for leaders and collaborators. Access to our platform of tools and resources to implement well-being initiatives.

  4. 04 · Measurement & Certification

    Track impact, certify progress

Results measured every 3–6 months against the initial assessment — leading to Ecosystem of Happiness certification.

Proven models

Organisations and partners committed to well-being — with which we have already walked.

From educators in Bhutan to Chief Well-Being Officers across 45 countries, from Nairobi social entrepreneurs to Tulum municipal pilots, the Ecosystem model is co-designed with communities that were already doing the work.

Why become an Ecosystem of Happiness

What partnership unlocks.

Happier and healthier people

Cities that prioritise well-being experience lower stress and greater social cohesion (World Happiness Report). Promoting happiness fosters an active, engaged, supportive citizenry — with 9 days of live and digital events on every continent, in 80 cities.

Sustainable urban development

Conscious planning enables greener, more inclusive and resilient urban spaces — supporting SDG 11 and SDG 3. Cities that focus on happiness attract investment, tourism and business, driving long-term prosperity (OECD).

Global network and recognition

Position your city, school, hospital or workplace as a pioneering model for well-being. Join a community of more than 10,000 people across 450+ cities sharing the same vision of happiness and well-being.
