Under a great striped canopy in the historic centre of Paraty, thousands of practitioners, teachers, indigenous leaders and seekers gathered for the 9th Paraty Yoga Festival — and remembered a truth the modern world keeps forgetting: the future is not built by abandoning our origins. It is revealed by remembering them.

The Call
Humanity will reach its highest potential not simply through better technology, faster systems, or greater intelligence — but by learning to lead from the soul. The leaders our world needs are transpersonal leaders: women and men who have transcended the limits of the separate self and embody compassion, wisdom, courage, and service. They understand that true leadership is not power over others, but presence with others.
The Ground
Paraty is a small colonial port held between the Atlantic Forest and the sea — a UNESCO heritage city whose cobbled streets were laid by hands that knew the rhythm of the tides. Around it live the Guarani, the Caiçara and the Quilombola communities, keepers of a knowledge older than any nation-state. For nine years, the Paraty Yoga Festival, hosted by YogArt and the Brazilian Ministry of Culture, has woven this geography into a living mandala — yoga, indigenous wisdom, science and art breathing in the same circle.
The Stage
Under green lights, in front of the great red lotus that watches over the main stage, we held a public dialogue alongside Cacique Putanny Huni Kuin, leaders of the festival, and teachers from across Brazil — on what it means to lead with the soul in a time of acceleration. Yoga, here, was not a posture. It was a way of being in relationship: with breath, with body, with land, with the people next to you. Thousands lifted their hands together under the canopy — and for a long moment, the noise of the world fell quiet.
The Method
We presented, for the first time in Portuguese, the Meta Pets Method and the Meta Pets App — sixty-four cosmic allies, each a doorway from shadow to gift to essence, designed to make the inner work of integration playable and shareable. We sat in a great open circle around a hand-painted mandala on the floor, drew a Meta Pet each, and let the room speak. People met their own patterns — and one another — through the language of an animal ally rather than a diagnosis.
The Horizon
Together with YogArt, the festival's hosts, the municipality, and the indigenous and Caiçara communities who are the true elders of this land, the World Happiness Foundation is committing to walk with Paraty as it becomes a working model of Happytalism in Latin America: a City of Happiness measured by the well-being of its people and its forest, the spiritual capital of Yoga in Brazil, and a home where the Meta Pets method in Portuguese can reach schools, clinics, retreats and families.
