In short

The Meta Pets Method is a training path of the World Happiness Foundation, delivered through the World Happiness Academy. You learn to work with the Meta Pets cards — in your own process first, then holding sessions for other people — across four levels of certification.

Four levels: Explorer, Facilitator, Guide, Alchemist.
Level 1 is an 8-hour workshop, online or in person, with a card deck and a final assessment.
Enrolment for Explorer is open; the next cohort starts September 2026.

Your ground

Essence is your most stable centre — what remains beyond change. Working from Essence lets you orient with clarity and connect with what is deepest in you.

Gift

Your resource in action

The Gift is the capacity that activates through understanding. It is how the inner becomes visible and applicable, turning insight into concrete, sustainable action.

Shadow

What gets integrated

Shadow holds the aspects that are not always visible, or that create tension. Once recognised, it stops limiting you and becomes useful information for the process.

Meta Pets Explorer
This is the entry point to the method. You begin working with the cards both in your own process and in one-to-one sessions, taking on a clear structure that lets you explore and facilitate with greater clarity and depth. You learn to access the inner world in an ordered way, opening spaces where emotions, patterns and new understandings emerge — first in yourself, and then in others.
Requirements
8-hour workshop, online and in person. A card deck is required. Final assessment.
Permissions
Use the cards in your personal practice and in one-to-one sessions. Join the global community. Training others is not permitted.

Meta Pets Facilitator
At this level you go deeper into shadow work and into the integration of processes. Your capacity expands, allowing you to hold both individual and group processes. You develop sharper judgement, presence and sensitivity to hold whatever emerges, integrating what you have learned more consciously and coherently.
Requirements
20-hour intensive training (online/hybrid). Supervised practice sessions. Portfolio submission. Meta Pets Explorer certification required.
Permissions
Deliver official Meta Pets workshops for groups. Use brand materials.

Meta Pets Guide
As the method integrates, your presence gains consistency, depth and precision. You begin to hold more complex processes, to sustain spaces with greater safety, and to grow the method in new Meta Pets facilitators out of your own experience. Your role expands — no longer only facilitating, but sustaining and leading processes of transformation.
Requirements
5-day intensive retreat. More than 50 documented sessions. Peer review. Meta Pets Facilitator certification held for at least 12 months.
Permissions
Train Explorers in your country or region. Facilitate advanced workshops. Regional community leadership.

Meta Pets Alchemist
This level is the embodiment of the method as part of your own consciousness: holding the method as a living presence, accompanying other facilitators on their path and taking an active part in its expansion. Your view widens, the way you hold others deepens, and your role becomes that of a reference, a trainer and a guardian of the process.
Requirements
By invitation only. More than 100 sessions. Contribution to research or publication. Interview with Luis Miguel Gallardo. Meta Pets Guide status held for at least 18 months.
Permissions
Deliver level 1 and 2 training. Create localised content. Represent Meta Pets internationally. Co-develop new materials. Advisory Council member.

Who trains in the method

Built for people who already hold other people's processes

The Meta Pets Method is a structure for inner work with cards. It is designed to sit inside professional practice you already have, not to replace it.

Coaches

A concrete way to open sessions, surface patterns and move a client from insight into action, using the Essence, Gift and Shadow triad as the working frame.

Therapists and psychologists

A projective, non-diagnostic tool for exploration. You keep your own clinical frame, ethics and scope of practice; the cards give the session an ordered entry point.

Educators and facilitators

A structure for holding group work on emotions, patterns and self-knowledge, with clear rules about what each certification level allows you to run.

Practitioners in training

Level 1 begins with your own process before you hold anyone else's, so the method is embodied first and applied second.

What the entry level involves

Training other people is a Level 2 permission. Explorer certification is the prerequisite for applying to the Facilitator training.

What is the Meta Pets Method?

A four-level training path of the World Happiness Foundation, delivered through the World Happiness Academy, that teaches you to work with the Meta Pets cards through the triad of Essence, Gift and Shadow — first in your own process, then in sessions with other people.

Do I need a coaching or therapy qualification to start?

No. Level 1, Meta Pets Explorer, is open to anyone willing to do their own inner work. It is an 8-hour workshop with a card deck and a final assessment. Coaches, therapists and educators usually take it to add the method to practice they already run.

Is this therapy or a diagnostic tool?

No. The cards are a projective tool for exploration and facilitation. They do not diagnose and do not replace psychological or medical care. Practitioners keep working inside their own professional frame, ethics and scope of practice.

What can I do after Level 1?

You can use the cards in your personal practice and in one-to-one sessions, and join the global community. Delivering official Meta Pets workshops for groups is a Level 2 permission, which requires the Facilitator training.

Does the training carry continuing education hours?

Level 2, Meta Pets Facilitator, includes 10 continuing education hours (CCEU) and is a 20-hour intensive at USD 847. Level 3, Meta Pets Guide, carries 35 CCEU.

In which languages is the training delivered?

The method is taught in English and Spanish. Tell us which you prefer when you enquire and we will point you to the next cohort in that language.

Meta Pets is used by coaches, therapists, teachers and facilitators who already work with people. It sits alongside the Academy programs — Transpersonal Coaching, Chief Well-being Officer, GWIL and Conscious Catalysts — as a card-based method, with four certification levels of its own.

It is a practice tool, not a prerequisite: you can pick it up at any point on any path.
