Whole-school transformation

Designing schools where students flourish.

Current educational systems face persistent learning tensions, stress, and disconnection. Schools of Happiness helps schools put wellbeing and human flourishing at the center of teaching and learning.

Who we impact

Students who flourish

Learners grow socially, emotionally, and academically — not just at school, but for life.

Teachers who thrive

Educators recover joy, purpose, and craft — the heart of any healthy classroom.

Families & community

Parents and neighborhoods co-create a culture of belonging around every school.

Framework

A whole-school Wheel of Happiness.

Transformation moves across 9 dimensions of wellbeing — curricular, relational, environmental — grounded in SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 3 (Well-being).

Teachers of Happiness

Teachers as conscious catalysts of well-being.

Teachers of Happiness is a cornerstone of the broader Schools of Happiness initiative — a global effort to place well-being at the heart of how teachers teach and how students learn.

The program has trained over 45,000 teachers across Latin America, Mexico and Spain through the Amauta Project, and in Bhutan through the ELC School's "Educaring for Global Happiness" program. Its curriculum is built on mindfulness, emotional intelligence and contemplation, equipping educators to become conscious catalysts of well-being in every classroom they lead.

The Amauta Project specializes in educational innovation across Latin America, focusing on teacher training and curriculum development that emphasizes emotional and social competencies. The project has expanded into Mexico and Spain, adapting its curriculum to each region's cultural and educational needs.

Educaring for Global Happiness

ELC School, Bhutan

Bhutan is the country that created Gross National Happiness (GNH) as a guiding measure of development. In this spirit, the Teachers of Happiness curriculum runs there through the ELC School's "Educaring for Global Happiness" program, extending the same mindfulness, emotional intelligence and contemplative practice to Bhutanese classrooms.

Voices from the programmes

What Happytalistas say after walking the path.

Validated words from coaches, professionals and Chief Well-Being Officers who have taken part in our programmes, Fests and retreats.

  • Before engaging with the World Happiness Foundation, I often treated well-being as something separate from performance. The program helped me see that people do their best work when meaning, trust, and humanity are built into the way we lead. That insight changed both my coaching conversations and the results my clients pursue.

    Executive Coach|United States

  • GGH helped me connect dots I had previously treated as separate: personal awareness, team culture, organizational design, and social impact. Seeing the whole system changed the way I diagnose challenges and the kind of solutions I am willing to build.

    Organizational Strategist|Belgium

  • The Foundation gave me language for something I had felt for years: real transformation begins inside, but it cannot end there. I now help leaders connect personal awareness with the cultures and communities they influence. My work feels deeper, more courageous, and more useful.

    Leadership Coach|Canada

  • The program moved happiness from the edge of my leadership agenda to the center of how I think about progress. I began evaluating decisions not only by what they deliver, but by the human experience they create along the way.

    Senior Leader|Austria

  • I came looking for new coaching tools and found a much larger invitation - to accompany people toward lives of purpose, connection, and contribution. The program expanded my practice while reminding me why I became a coach in the first place.

    Professional Coach|Mexico

  • GGH gave me a coherent framework for work that had sometimes felt fragmented. I can now help clients connect individual practices with leadership behavior, cultural conditions, and measurable organizational priorities. The result is a more credible and lasting approach.
