Villages of Happiness
The story
Manpura is where Villages of Happiness begins. Here, women weavers have already practised the Happiness Ritual together at their looms: breathing, a story card, a circle of sharing, a guided meditation and creative expression, day after day. From these loom circles the work now widens, ring by ring, to families, neighbours and the whole village. Manpura is in the Listen stage: visiting every hamlet, meeting women's groups, elders, health workers, teachers and the panchayat, and asking how the village itself wants to grow in happiness. Nothing is decided for the village; the village decides.
